Codex - HACCP

Our Angel Bay products are produced under Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).  HACCP is a systematic preventative approach to food safety from biological, chemical, and physical hazards in production.  The system is conducts process and product hazard analysis, critical control limits and critical control points (CCP’s), monitoring, verification and documentation.  Codex (Codex Alimentarius) is a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines, and other recommendations relating to foods, food production, and food safety.  Consumers and importers can trust the safety of the food products they buy.

Halal

Our Angel Bay products are Halal certified by the following New Zealand MPI Approved Halal Organisations (AHO’s) - The New Zealand Islamic Development Trust (NZIDT) and the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ).

Registered Risk Management Programme - RMP

The plant operates under a MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) registered Risk Management Programme in accordance with the NZ Animal Product Acts 1999.  The RMP covers the control and management of hazards relating to human health (HACCP), risks to wholesomeness and risks from false or misleading labelling. It operates in accordance with the pre-requisite programmes and the HACCP plan.  The RMP is verified by MPI during PBV audits according to the regulatory audit schedule.

Spotless Food Safety Standard for Suppliers – Issue 3

The Spotless food safety standard food safety standard meets the requirements of the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) – Food Standards Code.  The standard is set to provide safe, quality food along the supply chain from source to receipt by the customer and to ensure compliance to relevant statutory and regulatory standards.
